After-School Sports Program

The CHIME Athletics Enrichment Program is a competitive after-school sports program. We compete against neighboring schools—working on developing sports specific skills such as strategies, fitness, and sportsmanship. The program is open to all students from grade 4 through 8. If you’d like to participate please fill out the attached form and return to the office by September 5.

Solar Eclipse!

CHIME students will be observing the solar eclipse this coming Monday, August 21. We have purchased solar eclipse glasses for all of our students and staff. They are NASA and ISO certified glasses. (The certification test results are on file with the office if any parent would like to review them.)

The eclipse is going to be a terrific learning opportunity for our students, but if for any reason parents would not like their child to view the eclipse, they should fill out and sign the affirmative  opt out form attached and have their child return it on Monday morning. We’ll have an alternative activity planned for them.

We’re Doing Party Books!

Don’t forget to check out the CCA’s First-ever Online Party book here. So many great parties available for families or for a grown-up night out, so make sure to make a bid! The next one coming up is on Thursday, Dec. 22 and it’s an amazing 5-course holiday dinner from 7-10pm hosted by the Nazarian family in Woodland Hills; spots are available for just $25 each! Gets yours now!

Time to re-register your Ralphs card!

Every year we must register again for the new term so that our purchases at Ralphs Grocery Store will benefit CHIME. To re-enroll in the program go to www.ralphs.com and sign in. Click on your name on the upper right and scroll to the bottom of the Account Summary page for “Community Awards.” Type in “CHIME” to find our school and select it. For instructions on registering your card for the first time go to www.ralphs.com/asset/vn_6bda8b6c06b9f6e8c6034b2798df3a7c/ralphs_website_instructions.

Then shop at Ralphs using your card and a percentage of all purchases will go to CHIME. Such an easy way to make free money!!

We’re So Proud of You Ms. Rood
