New Money for the Library!

We’re thrilled to announce that the Read-a-thon made over $2,900—up almost $900 from last year, which is awesome (thank you Amy Pot)!!! And the recent used book/clothing sale to benefit the library brought in over $1,100 (thank you Molly Cooper!) With these funds we have already purchased a new, much needed, book cart for the library, as well as many new books. We acquired some new literature for emergent readers, as well as some new non-fiction books for all ages. We’re working to update our science section and were able to add books for the 6-8th science fair, as well as bring in new health, weather and simple-machines books. We also bought new biography, and civil rights books that can be enjoyed by all grades.

These new funds will also enable us to update our library system so that we can get a new server to improve library usability. We’re upgrading the system so that students can search the system from home. And we’re also working hard to schedule an author visit.

Thank you for supporting the library!

Don’t Miss the Meeting on Wednesday

Join us for the next CHIME Community Association Meeting this Wednesday, September 25, at 8:30am in the Library. Among other things, we’ll discuss:
